Just a year after the fourth season began airing, “Murders in the Buildings Only” is already back on Hulu for season 5 this week.
In the new Ten-Episode installment, Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) once again solve the murders that took place in Arconia, the apartment building on the Upper West Side.
“We’re dipping our toes in New York City for Season 5, which we feel is particularly torn from the headlines in a certain way that we’ve never done before,” co-creator John Hoffman told the Desader in October.

The first three episodes of “The Building’s Only Murder” fell at 12am on September 9th. After the premiere, subsequent episodes will drop weekly from Tuesday until October 28th in the middle of the night.

In addition to Gomez, he’s back for another season, along with familiar faces like Martin and Nathan Lane (Teddy Dimas)’s Detective Davin Joy Randolph (Detective Donna Williams) and Meryl Streep (Loretta Dunkin).
Streep and Short were discovered to be made on set in May, months after exclusively reporting that they had been dating in real life for “now over a year.”
This season, several new cast members will also be featured, including Rene Zelweger, Beanie Feldstein, Jermaine Fowler and Keegan Michael Kee.
