Taylor Swift is returning to the spotlight with her music video for “Opalite,” which will be released tomorrow morning. But ahead of its release, the singer made headlines yesterday for the way she supported her fiancé, Travis Kelce. Kelsey competed in the WM Phoenix Open on February 4th. The Golf Channel shared a video of his impressive shot, with a commentator saying, “I think Taylor Swift would write a song about that shot.”
In a rare social media move for a star, Swift showed her support by liking the post.
Kelce also found a clever way to include Swift at his podcast, New Heights Super Bowl Party, which was held in San Francisco on the same day. At the venue, fans spotted a framed photo of her performing at the 2017 DIRECTV NOW Super Saturday Night Concert. Look closely at the wall.
Swift and Kelce have spent most of the year out of the public eye. The two were last photographed together on January 12th in Beverly Hills.
It is unclear whether the couple will attend this Sunday’s Super Bowl. However, Swift revealed in an interview with New Heights that Kelce turned her into a football fan. “I fell in love with soccer. I was hooked,” she said.
She also talked about what she likes about her partner. Among them: “The way he makes me laugh so easily…Travis just lifts the mood in everyone’s life around him. He’s like a human exclamation point.”
She said directly to him, “You were very open-minded towards people, even toward me, who didn’t know anything about soccer…You were very kind.”
In September, Kelsey spoke to GQ about her personal life with Swift and their true relationship. “Whenever I’m with her, I feel like we’re just normal people. When the cameras aren’t on, we’re just two people in love. Depending on how much it gets talked about and how much we’re followed every time we go out, it might be perceived as something different, but I would say it’s a normal thing…It was something that happened very naturally, even from a media perspective. It still happened very organically.”
“What I’ve done so far hasn’t been a controlled, organized process,” he added. “I would say it was a very natural feeling, but we fell in love based on the people we were sitting in the same room with. We’re two fun-loving people with moral values that value everyone for who they are. We share all of those values. That was, in a way, very exciting.”
