‘Secrets of the Mormon Wife’ star Demi Engeman opens up about how she, her husband Brett and their family reacted to the infamous ‘Fruity Pebbles’ secret, and reveals NSFW behavior the couple has allegedly engaged in together in the past.
“Obviously I was a little nervous about Fruity Pebbles and Brett’s kids, but they bonded right away,” Engeman recently told People.
Engeman, who has stepsons Rome, 20, and Cole, 18, with her husband, said the adult siblings in the blended family were “like, ‘Let’s make fun of this whole situation. What are we going to do? We just have to laugh.'”
The Hulu personality explained that his sons-in-law are “very understanding” about the situation and that the family “jumped right to social media” to show support.
“I couldn’t be more grateful for their love and support. I don’t know what I would do without my inner circle of people relying on me for that,” she added.
Fruity Pebbles Gate came to light after Season 3 of “The Secret of a Mormon Wife,” when Engeman and co-star Jesse Gatikaula posted about their feud on social media and ultimately exposed its implications.
“She wants to be an asshole and an asshole so let’s just say Grandpa Brett likes to drink her piss like it’s dirty soda,” Ngatikaula said on her Instagram Stories last month, revealing the couple’s sex life.
Engeman also said she is “proud” of the work she and Brett have put into their marriage and has been transparent about the “difficulties” in their family relationship.
Engeman is also the mother of 8-year-old daughter Maude with ex Blake Corbin.
“I freely admit that Brett and I got off to a rocky start in merging our families, and many times I thought things would never work out the way they were,” she said, adding, “I’m so proud that we were able to weather the storms we faced, especially when it came to navigating a reality show and being in the public eye,” noting that “the success rate is very low.”
Continuing on to the tools she and Brett are putting into practice in their marriage, the influencer elaborated that they are “working on it” through therapy, open communication, mutual understanding and forgiveness, and making sure “each other’s needs are met.”
“We love each other from the bottom of our hearts and respect each other from the bottom of our hearts.”
With 2026 just a few days away, Engeman admitted, “I want to enter a slower season in my life.”
“I’m preparing to expand my family, hopefully with another baby, and potentially start building a house. I really want to bring in a softer, newer, fresher energy. Instead, I want to stay in my lane, focus on myself and my circle, and, of course, help others as much as I can.”
This isn’t the first time the “Mormon Wives” star has been embroiled in public controversy after the third season of the hit reality show aired.
Engeman accused Vanderpump Villas star Marciano Brunet of sexual misconduct throughout season 3, calling him a “sexual predator” in one episode.
The claims on the show led to an online battle that ended with the brunette suing the reality TV star.
Brunet denies the charges and the legal battle is still ongoing.
