Dakota Johnson is single and “playing around on set” while dating, a source close to the actress tells People. Sources said Johnson is in no rush to get into a new relationship and addressed dating rumors earlier this year regarding an outing with the musician role model. Johnson spoke to ELLE earlier this week about the buzzy new Calvin Klein campaign and why this partnership felt right at this moment in her life.
Dakota Johnson is taking her time looking for love. A source close to the actress tells People that the Bachelorette star is in no rush to get into a new relationship after her split from Chris Martin last year.
The source said she is “on the field right now,” and revealed that Johnson and Role Model (real name Tucker Pillsbury) only had a casual relationship after multiple public sightings sparked dating rumors earlier this year.
In November, a source told the outlet that Johnson has recently “slowly started dating again and she’s happy. Her relationship with Chris has been hot and cold and she’s always hoped things will work out, but now that they’re finally in a relationship, she seems lighter and more at peace.”
The source added that overall she is “in a great place. She’s busy, fulfilled and moving forward.”
Earlier this week, Johnson made headlines for her new Calvin Klein campaign, in which she posed wearing only a bra, underwear and jeans. She spoke about her partnership with ELLE and revealed how her idea of ”sexy” fashion has changed over time.
“I think the sexiest clothing is the one that makes you feel good in your body,” she said. “When you feel good in your clothes, it changes your energy and your body. Sometimes wearing a big ratty T-shirt is the sexiest thing in the world. Sometimes wearing lacy lingerie makes you feel like a trash can. For me, it’s all about how something makes me feel.”
She said it felt like the time was right to partner with the brand. “I feel very symbiotic with the situation in my life right now. I feel very grounded and centered within myself as a woman. I spend a lot of time at home and feel very comfortable in my body. Doing a denim and underwear campaign with a very relaxed and sensual tone felt like a kind of truth to the situation I’m in right now.”
