Hilarie Burton shared a throwback photo from One Tree Hill with a sharp comment following reports of her breakup with co-star Tyler Hilton.
On Saturday, Burton posted a photo to her Instagram Stories of her character, Peyton Sawyer, wearing a cheerleading uniform and smiling mischievously.
This snapshot is from the third season episode where Peyton slapped Chris Keller (Hilton) for flirting with Haley James (played by Bethany Joy Lentz).
“IYKYK 🤮,” she cryptically captioned the photo.
Although she did not add any other context, the reference to the past comes a day after Hilton, 42, announced his divorce from wife Megan Park, 39, after 10 years of marriage.
“Life Update: I’ve never been very comfortable sharing personal information about my family life, but I’ve seen enough speculation online that I thought I needed to clarify,” he shared on Instagram on Friday.
“A short time ago, Megan and I decided to end our marriage. Our children and co-parenting will continue to be our top priority,” he continued.
The actor concluded his announcement by thanking his fans for “continuing to respect our privacy.”
Park has yet to publicly address the split. The former couple have a 6-year-old daughter, Winnie, and a son, Benny, who was born in 2024. The two met on the set of the 2007 film Charlie Bartlett and married in 2015.
According to Us Weekly, the pair apparently stopped wearing their wedding rings in late 2025 and unfollowed each other on social media.
Meanwhile, Burton and Sophia Bush, who also appeared on the show, appear to have unfollowed Park.
Representatives for Mr. Burton did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Hilton previously spoke about how she formed lasting bonds with the cast of the hit show, which ran from 2004 to 2012.
“It’s really rare in this business to stay in touch with people the way you have,” he told Page Six in 2018.
“I think it’s because we met at a young age. We were very close, almost like college friends,” Hilton continued. “They’re basically my college friend group and it’s really fun to meet.”
He added, “When I appeared on the show, I had never heard of ‘One Tree Hill,’ so I thought, ‘What is this show?'” When I quit, I thought, “I want to be on this show, I love these people.” ”
