Hilaria Baldwin blames “mean girls” for getting her kicked out of Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars.
“I’m very new to TikTok. It’s only been a few months. It’s funny because there are so many mean girls,” Baldwin, who was paired with Gleb Savchenko this season, told Us Weekly over the weekend.
“I think what people were doing was not just voting for their favorite, but because couples can vote 10 times, they were running a campaign to vote for all the other couples except us,” she claimed. “So they were pushing other people and trying to drown out my fan base.”
Baldwin’s latest comments echo what she previously said on Instagram Live last Friday.
At the time, the mother of seven told her followers that she was deliberately bullied by the ABC dance competition series.
“It’s very systematic, very strategic bullying,” the 41-year-old yoga instructor said.
“While I feel the darkness that it undoubtedly brings to me, I want to always remember that my life belongs to the entire community, and I want to leave a lasting mark of the courage to speak out against what is simply wrong.”
In September, it was announced that Hilaria, the wife of actor Alec Baldwin, would be joining the star-studded Season 34 cast of DWTS, along with other celebrities including Danielle Fishel, Robert Irwin, Dylan Efron, and Alix Earle.
In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Hilaria denied rumors that she launched a “campaign” to get an appearance on the show.
“They called me a few days before[the announcement]and said, ‘Do you want to do this?'” And I made a snap decision. I had to move my entire family here (Los Angeles) at the last minute. So you heard it here first. That’s the real story,” she told Us last month.
Hilaria’s time on the series was short-lived, as she and her dance partner Savchenko were the fourth pair to be voted out.
In an interview with Good Morning America after her elimination, Hilaria tearfully revealed that she was “a little hurt” after being kicked off the show.
Her casting in the series comes after a series of controversies she has faced over the years.
In December 2020, it was revealed that Hilaria, who claimed to be from Spain, was actually a Boston-born woman named Hilary.
Page Six previously reported that Hilaria’s parents did not move to the Spanish island of Mallorca until 2011, when she was already 27 years old. And in March, Hilaria was criticized for cutting off the “30 Rock” actor during an interview.
“Oh my god, when I’m talking, you’re not talking,” she told Alec, 67, during a chat with “Extra” on March 12. The statement quickly spread on social media. “No, you’re not talking when I’m talking.”
the podcaster said to the camera. “Look, this is why, yeah, we have to take him off the show.”
A week later, Hilaria and Baldwin spoke out from bed in an awkward “Extra” interview and responded to the criticism.
After the narration, Hilaria asked the father of eight, “So, what’s your word for today?” To this, the “Last” star replied, “I’m on hiatus.”
In a separate interview with Page Six, Hilaria said competing on “DWTS” felt “healing” for her and her family after a “tough few years.”
“This is one of the first things I’ve ever done and it’s just ‘me time,'” she explained. “I think it’s not only therapeutic for me, but it’s also therapeutic for the children, because they want to see their mothers happy.”
