Former teen actor Matt Prokop has reportedly been arrested and is currently being held without bail on multiple charges, including possession of child pornography.
According to TMZ, the “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” star was arrested and taken into custody in Victoria County, Texas, on December 24, 2025.
Local law enforcement confirmed he remains in the county jail, where he is also charged with resisting arrest and two counts of resisting arrest, search, or transportation.
The former Disney child actor’s arrest reportedly stems from a breach of bail conditions related to a May 2024 arrest in which Prokop was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest, according to local media outlet Crossroads Today.
At this time, it is still unclear when he will appear in court.
Prokop, 35, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Prokop’s arrest comes after his ex-girlfriend, “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland, accused him of verbal and physical abuse during their five-year relationship.
In May 2014, she claimed that a man slammed her into a car and strangled her during an argument, according to court filings obtained by Page Six.
After Hyland and Prokop broke up, Hyland allegedly threatened to kill her dog and set her house on fire.
She then obtained a restraining order against him and he was ordered to stay away from the actress for three years.
In addition to his role in “High School Musical 3” and a guest appearance on “Modern Family,” Prokop appeared in 2010’s “Furry Vengeance,” 2011’s “Cougar Hunting” and 2012’s “Struck by Lightning.”
