Victoria Beckham revisited the Viral Rolls-Royce scene of her and David from Netflix’s 2023 docusary Beckham. She also revealed the values that led to marriage and parenting.
Victoria Beckham spent decades in the public eye as a pop icon, fashion designer and beauty craft. With her new Elle cover story, she looks back on her drastic journey in the spotlight, becoming a viral sensation after a Rolls-Royce moment at Netflix’s 2023 docusary Beckham.
The four-part series focused on Victoria’s husband David, but the former Spice Girl attracted attention in exchange for a retired footballer. During one of her confessors, Victoria claims she grew up in the working class, thrust David in the head and urges her to tell her to “be honest.” He urges her to tell him what type of car she went to school. Eventually, she reveals that her father drove a Rolls-Royce in the 80s.
Looking back at that moment, Victoria laughed and said to Elle. We said, “No, we weren’t rehearsed.”
The dance sequence for Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ “The Island of the Stream” was also a real moment. “That’s what Beckham does. We have fun. We want to spend time together. We are a very traditional family.
She was also open about creating a supportive environment for her four children, now 14-26 years old and David. “After my last show, I remember very vividly the kids and David coming backstage. I had just come out of my exit, and the look of their faces as they approached me – it was a real pinch me moment because I saw how proud they were.”
At such moments, she continued to emphasize the value that guided her family life. “It’s healthy for kids to know that Daddy is going to work, and Mom goes to work,” she said. “Working will be my best version.”
Looking back on her and David’s 26 years of marriage, Victoria said growth and mutual support keeps them ties.
Victoria is scheduled to star in her three-part Netflix Docuseries and now appears to be embracing her journey with more self-guarantees. “Growing older is actually really great. The filters go away and there’s less shit. I really enjoy it,” she said.
