Is it really Halloween until Heidi Win?
Costume queen Heidi Klum hosted the 24th Annual Halloween Party at New York’s Hard Rock Hotel on Friday night. This party is a gathering known for showcasing some of the most epic celebrity costumes during the spooky season.
Klum walked the red carpet dressed as the Greek mythological figure Medusa, with her husband Tom Kaulitz dressed as a concrete soldier.
The supermodel’s hand-painted costume was accented with green scales that extended to the tail of a rattlesnake and an animatronic snake in place of hair.
“I wanted to explore classic monsters from history and reimagine them in a modern way,” Klum told Vogue.
“For me, Medusa was a truly iconic figure, both mystical and ferocious. Her legend of turning humans to stone has captivated audiences for centuries. The museum’s countless paintings and sculptures depict her haunting powers, testifying to just how frightening and compelling she can be.”
Klum revealed that the entire process of hand-painting the elaborate costume took nine hours.
She started teasing this year’s costume in early October, sharing different angles of the spooky mask on Instagram, captioning the post, “This is just the beginning 👀👻💀🎃 @prorenfx #HeidiHalloween.”
Klum later shared a snap of the back of her prosthetic leg and wrote, “Looking cheeky 🍑😜 @prorenfx #HeidiHalloween.”
She told Jimmy Fallon that this year’s look would be “extra ugly” and “super scary,” leaving fans guessing for a month.
Last year, Klum opted for full body prosthetics and dressed up as a female ET with her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who transformed into a male version of the iconic alien.
Over the past few years, Klum has transformed into the Wriggling Insect (2022), the lewd Jessica Rabbit (2015), and Shrek’s Fiona (2018).
Heidiwin is a staple event every October, so this year the stars wore their finest costumes to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve with Klum.
Guests at this year’s bash included Jay Manuel, Maye Musk, and Jonathan Cheban.
