Hot Rivalry star Hudson Williams shared a photo of his longtime girlfriend on Valentine’s Day.
This was the first time the actors admitted they were in a relationship.
Co-star Connor Story was also seen in the photobook.
On Valentine’s Day, Rivalry star Hudson Williams shared a loving tribute to his longtime girlfriend on his Instagram Story. The Canadian actor did not reveal her name but provided insight into their close relationship.
In a photo montage, he shared photos from their time together, including a few mirror selfies, cuddling on the couch, FaceTime conversations, and talking by the water on a cold day. In one photo, she is seated next to Williams’ co-star Connor Storey at a restaurant, with Williams playfully drawing red hearts around her.
“Happy Valentine’s Day,” Williams wrote above the photo, adding that his girlfriend has been with him “ever since my 2000 Gold Mazda Disciple smoked and I lost my job.”
Over the past few months, both Williams and Story have shot to fame thanks to the popularity of their Crave and HBO Max series. Heat Rivalry follows two hockey players, Shane Hollander and Russian rival Ilya Rozanov, through their 10-year career and 10-year secret romance. The show explores issues around sexuality, identity, and navigating fame as a queer man in professional sports.
Since its release, fans have wanted to know more about both stars’ personal lives. Naturally, actors prefer to keep their personal lives as private as possible. But they understand their interests, including their curiosity about their connections. Just for the record, they’re just friends, but they’re very comfortable with each other on and off screen.
Williams told Deadline in December 2025, “I want queer people to tell queer stories, but there’s also an element of Connor and I. We’re best friends and I love expressing that physically. I don’t want people to speculate or make assumptions. But then again, I never want to physically express my love for Connor, and I don’t really intend to. I think more than one thing can be true at the same time.”
Story agreed, saying, “I’m honored to be able to bring to life a character that makes so many people feel seen and understood and represented. I think that goes beyond who they sleep with in real life.”
