On March 14, Harry Styles hosted Saturday Night Live while serving as music host. In his opening monologue, Styles addressed the allegations of “queerbaiting” he has faced throughout his career, meaning that the musician has been seen as embracing his queer identity as cultural capital, even though he has only publicly dated women.
“People seemed to pay a lot of attention to the clothes I was wearing, and some even accused me of what they called ‘queerbaiting,'” Styles began. “Dad, have you ever thought that maybe you don’t know everything about me? I walked past him and he was okay with it.”
Styles then proceeded to talk about his love of kissing, and SNL cast members Chloe Fineman and Sarah Sherman approached him as if they were about to kiss. Once he listed his offs, they slipped away without kissing. But when Styles revealed that he enjoys a “tight butt,” fellow cast member Ben Marshall chimed in.
“Come on, Ben! We all know there’s no big deal with that bastard. He’s got a hell of a wagon over there,” Stiles joked.
The two then kissed, after which Styles declared to the camera, “This is queerbaiting!”
A week earlier, Styles appeared on “Saturday Night Live” hosted by Ryan Gosling, lurking in the audience and distracting the Barbie star with his charisma. This week, he sang music from his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, sometimes.
After the show, Styles was seen holding hands with girlfriend Zoe Kravitz as they headed to the Saturday Night Live afterparty. The couple first tied the knot in August 2025.
