Hannah Berner joins Hulu’s “Hularious” banner lineup with a new stand-up comedy special set on the streamer.
The title and plot of the special have not yet been revealed, but it will be directed by Jeff Tomsic and produced by Rotten Science. Varner will executive produce alongside Matthew Vaughn through Rotten Science and Tomsic. The special will premiere in 2026 and stream on Hulu, as well as on Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the United States. It will be streamed internationally on Disney+.
Berner is best known for her two podcasts, Giggly Squad, which she co-hosts with Paige Desorbo, and Berner Phone, which she co-hosts with her husband Des Bishop, and is popular for her comedic interviews with people living on the streets, which she posts on social media called Han on the Street. In 2023, she was named to Variety magazine’s list of 10 comics to watch, and in 2024, Netflix released her debut stand-up special, “We Ride at Dawn.”

Varner joins a growing list of comedians lending their talents to Hulu, who debuted the Hularious banner with Jim Gaffigan’s stand-up special “The Skinny” in November 2024. In addition to Gaffigan, Flourious’ lineup includes Ilana Glazer, Roy Wood Jr., Chris DiStefano, Bill Burr, Jessica Carson, Mateo Lane, Atsuko Okatsuka, Zarna Garg, Ralph Barbosa, Andrew Santino, Frankie Quiñones, Sebastian Maniscalco, Kumail Nanjiani, and will also feature specials from Lisa Ann Walter and Nikki Glazer.
