Halle Berry may not reprise her role as weather-controller Storm in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, but don’t rule out the Oscar-winning actor from a future Marvel reunion.
“It’s unfortunate that I won’t be able to do Doomsday this round, but there are other rounds,” Berry told ScreenRant while promoting his new film Crime 101. “And I would do that in a heartbeat.”
Berry also mentioned how proud he is to be a part of the X-Men universe, saying, “I think the whole X-Men universe and being mutants and outcasts is important to me.[X-Men]is a movie that I’m proud to let kids see. They have a lot to say, and I thought it was really important, especially for kids growing up. That’s why they’re loved.”
The “Catwoman” actor played Storm from 2000 to 2014 and appeared in “X-Men,” “X2: X-Men United,” “X-Men: The Last Stand” and “X-Men: Future Past.”
“Storm is a very special character to me,” Berry continued. “I’m so blessed to be able to play her.”
Although Storm won’t be returning, a long list of names from the “X-Men” universe are set to reprise their roles in “Avengers: Doomsday,” including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, James Marsden, Channing Tatum and Rebecca Romijn.
Also scheduled to appear are Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Simu Liu, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachluck, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, and Lewis. Pullman. Robert Downey Jr. will also appear in Doomsday, but instead of playing Tony Stark, he will be playing the villainous Doctor Doom.
