For Hailey Bieber, all that shines is gold.
The 29-year-old Lorde founder made a grand entrance at Vogue’s Forces of Fashion event at the Sydney Opera House on Friday wearing a plunging archival Versace dress.
The pale gold design featured bejeweled straps, an ornate mesh center panel, and lace-up detailing around the hips. Bieber wore her hair slicked back and accessorized with simple diamond drop earrings, drawing attention to her glowing skin and eye-catching dress.
The vintage finds were provided by archival dealer Rough Vintage, and the look was put together by Dani Michelle, a longtime stylist who has also dressed Kendall Jenner and Daisy Edgar-Jones.
“Australia is so cold and I feel so relaxed,” she told Vogue Australia on the red carpet. “Everyone here is so nice.”
The model praised the country’s activewear brands and homegrown talent like designer Dion Lee, as well as her personal favorites, coffee and banana bread.
Earlier, she met reporters for Lorde’s Australian debut at beauty retailer Mecca wearing head-to-toe Valentino, which she accessorized with a grass green minidress embellished with ribbons, open-toe suede pumps ($1,100) and a Devane jacquard shoulder bag ($1,980).
The Versace moment was just one stop on Bieber’s fashion-packed Sydney itinerary. The night before, she attended the Australian premiere of Wuthering Heights wearing Anthony Vaccarello’s sheer black Saint Laurent bell sleeves and floor-length skirt.
The look was a gothic take on the movie Emerald Fennell, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, which opens in theaters today.
