On In Your Dreams with Owen Seale, Hailey Bieber spoke about her plans to have more children with Justin and raising Jack. Model and entrepreneur Hailey Bieber admitted that she is providing full-time support to her son so that she can also manage Lorde’s business. She also talked about whether she and Justin will be raising Jack in Los Angeles and what the adjustment to motherhood is like.
Hailey Bieber is opening up more about motherhood, her plans for more children with Justin, and the people who have made it possible for her to care for her 1-year-old son Jack while running her billion-dollar business, Lorde.
She talked about how important support is to her on In Your Dreams with Owen Seale, saying: “I’m someone who’s always wanted to be a mom, so I’m very, very, very serious about my son. I have help, I have full-time help, and I’m not really embarrassed to say that. And I’m not afraid to talk about it, because without help I wouldn’t be able to build my career and I wouldn’t be able to do what I do. And I’m really grateful for that.”
She added of Jack, “If he’s not with me, he’s with his father. He’s always with his family, and… he’s always with one of us, or somebody, his godfather or something like that.”
The star admitted that she would like to have more children eventually. “I know we want more than one, but we’re in no hurry,” she said, adding, “Justin was also an only child, so all the conversations we’ve ever had about it have been about wanting him to have[a sibling].”
Becoming a mother “felt daunting,” she says. “And after he got here, I didn’t feel as scared. When your life is about to change in a way you’ve never experienced before, you don’t know what’s going to happen, you don’t know what’s going to happen, (it can be daunting).
“Before I had kids, so many people told me, ‘You’ll never be ready for a baby,'” she added. “You can never fully prepare for it, and I think that’s just the way it is, because you don’t know what it’s like until you’re actually in that situation.” She admitted, “There was some fear around that. I didn’t know what was going to happen. But once they get here, you just figure it out every day. And I’m learning something new every day about how to be a mom, what’s best for my son, and what’s best for me as a mom.”
She also spoke candidly about whether she plans to raise Jack in Los Angeles. “I want him to grow in different places,” she said. “I think we’re very much travelers as a family, and we’ve been that way since before he was born. So I want him to grow up traveling. To be honest, that’s how I grew up, and I love it.”
