Hailee Steinfeld has announced that she and husband Josh Allen are expecting their first child. Hailee Steinfeld shared the news through Substack’s newsletter Beau Society. Steinfeld gave birth to a baby girl and thanked her fans for their well wishes.
Hailee Steinfeld is officially a mom! The Sinners actress recently welcomed her and husband Josh Allen’s first child together and announced the news on her Substack in a post titled “Special Delivery.”
“Our baby is born!!” the star wrote in the Beau Society newsletter. “We are incredibly grateful and blessed to be savoring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and blessings.”
Steinfeld first announced her pregnancy news through Beau Society in December. To celebrate her 29th birthday, she shared her 29 best moments from the past year. The end of the post included a video announcing her pregnancy. The “Love Myself” singer posed in the snow with Allen, showing off her baby bump. The football player placed a loving kiss on Steinfeld’s stomach.
Steinfeld and Allen then shared the video on their respective Instagram accounts in a joint post. “I love you ❤️,” Allen wrote in the comments section of his wife’s page.
The couple, who married last May, kept the details of their pregnancy relatively private, but Allen revealed at a press conference in January 2026 that he was excited to become a father.
“This is something I take great pride in, and like anything else, we’re going to have to figure things out on the ground,” he said. “But being a father is the most important thing in my life. And I know I love being a football player and I love being quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. But I’m looking forward to this.”
Steinfeld also opened up about motherhood in a post for Beau Society Substack, sharing that preparing for the birth has changed her mindset.
“While tuning in, I experienced this surreal, full-body realization that our world is about to expand in a beautiful way. We are already preparing to meet someone we love so much,” she wrote. “I’ve been racking my brain for words to describe that feeling, but I still can’t find the words. Maybe that’s the point. For now, I’m happy to settle for that feeling.”
