No trip to Europe is complete without wearing some really cute clothes and enjoying some shopping. Look at Gwyneth Paltrow.
In October, the Goop founder, 53, visited a store in Milan, Italy, with her husband Brad Falchuk. She wore a gray polo shirt layered over a blue button-up shirt and sporty striped sneakers. But the most notable thing about this look were her baggy blue jeans.
Come to think of it, “baggy” might be an understatement. Her jeans were very loose and fit like sweatpants or pajama pants. Yet, they were still sophisticated enough to strut around the streets of a city that many refer to as one of the “fashion capitals” of the world.

If you love Paltrow’s draped pants, check out wide-leg silhouettes like these. It doesn’t pinch your thighs or the hem tapers inwards. Even with the extra fabric, the jeans are still “really flattering,” said one shopper. Another shopper also claimed that the mid-blue wash looks “luxury and fashion-forward.” TL;DR: These jeans are nice enough to show off in public, like at dinner or brunch.

There are also actual sweatpants and jeans. For example, these Rag & Bone pants look like regular jeans, except they’re made from terry fabric that’s so soft you can sleep in them. (The brand sent me another pair from its Miramar collection earlier this year.) They look so authentic that you can wear them to work — a few of us tried them — and they charmed Paulina Porizkova and Brittany Mahomes.

The Gap pair on sale is designed to have a more “authentic feel,” according to the brand, but one shopper said it’s still “more comfortable than sweats.” I guess the reason for this is that it has a loose, non-constricting fit except for the waist (you don’t want it to fall down, right?), and it comes in a wide variety of sizes and inseams. Choose from standard, petite, and tall options and say goodbye to your tailor.
