Gwyneth Paltrow made unusual comments about her role as a stepmother, posting a heartfelt birthday homage to her recently turned 21-year-old stepdaughter Isabella “Izzy” Falchuk.
“Happy Birthday My Spree” and “Iron Man” actress writes with a broad smile on her Instagram story above Isabella’s photos.
“You taught me a lot about love,” continued Paltrow, 52. “I’m lucky to be your stepmother.”
The Oscar winner became the stepmother of Isabella and her younger brother Brody when she married her father, Brad Falchuk in 2018.
Brad, 54, shared his two children with his ex-wife Suzanne Brnik, who divorced in 2013 after 20 years of marriage.
Paltrow opened up about becoming a tranny in April when she had her husband on the Goop Podcast.
“One of the deepest lessons I’ve learned from my relationship with your daughter — it’s so great now — that was being tested,” she shared.
“She was watching and testing me when I rejected her,” Paltrow added.
The “Shakespeare’s Love” star chose a non-judgmental approach.
“I was going to be that for her. I’ve always loved and tolerated what you know, whether she acted or not,” she explained.
Paltrow confesses that he is nervous about chastising her stepchild.
“In my case, I thought that asserting the boundaries and expectations about manners and things like that would make the situation worse,” she said.
The businessman also admitted that it doesn’t always get right.
“Looking back at my mistakes as a stepmother, I should have treated both of them as fast as my kids.
Last week, Paltrow shared a carousel of summer photos that included snaps of her mixed family.
