Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t keeping up with the Kardashians.
The Goop founder had no idea that Kylie Jenner was a single mom dating her “Marty Supreme” co-star Timothée Chalamet.
In an interview with British Vogue published on Wednesday, she revealed that she has been teased for “not knowing anything” and praised the 29-year-old for being involved with a “young woman with two children”.
Paltrow, 53, explained, “I thought, ‘That’s so cool. I’m really happy to hear that from a young man like you.'” I can understand a 45-year-old with kids of his own dating a woman with kids, but it’s a cool choice (on his part).
“I respect that,” she added. “I think it’s some kind of punk rock.”
Notably, the Goop founder had two children of her own, daughter Apple, 21, and son Moses, 19, when she started dating her current husband, Brad Falchuk.
Paltrow confessed that she “didn’t know that Chalamet was Kylie Jenner,” with whom she has reportedly been in a relationship since 2023.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shares daughter Stormi, 7, and son Ayle, 3, with ex-boyfriend Travis Scott.
Jenner and the Golden Globe nominee have kept their love life private for years, ever since she split from Scott and moved on with Chalamet.
The reality star even waited until this summer to follow her partner on Instagram.
The “Dune: Messiah” star does not follow Jenner, or anyone else, on the social media platform.
Jenner has avoided talking about Chalamet in many interviews, explaining to British Vogue in August 2024 that “privacy is very important” and that she “feels great.”
The following June, she spoke to Dazed about finding “the right balance with sharing.”
However, the pair made their red carpet debut at the David di Donatello Awards in Rome the month before.
Their recent public appearances include a New York Yankees game and the New York Film Festival premiere of Marty Supreme.
Chalamet and Paltrow began filming the movie last year, and photos have been released of the co-stars locking lips in a steamy scene.
The snapshot made headlines and even sparked a stir for Paltrow’s “Mom Group Text,” which she joked on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in November 2024.
“[My message]was on fire. It was very funny,” the Oscar winner said at the time.
“Marty Supreme” will be released in theaters on December 25th.
