Gwyneth Paltrow walked the red carpet at the 2026 Actor Awards. She wore a lingerie-inspired Givenchy dress with a plunging neckline. The actress will be attending the Actor’s Awards this year for the first time in 26 years.
Gwyneth Paltrow returned to the Best Actor Award (formerly known as the SAG Awards) for the first time in 26 years. On March 1, the actress walked the red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles in an outfit that honored ELLE’s theme for the show’s first red carpet: “Reimagining ’20s and ’30s Hollywood Glamour.”
Paltrow attended the event wearing a plunging black lingerie-inspired Givenchy dress with a sheer bodice that extended to her torso. The look featured sparkling black floral embroidery throughout, extending to the tea-length drop-waist skirt.
The Goop founder completed her look with a sleek bun gathered at the back of her head and turquoise drop earrings by Belperron.
The last time Paltrow attended the Actor’s Awards was in 2000, when it was still known as the SAG Awards. She also attended the event in 1999, where she won the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor Award for her role as Viola de Lesseps in Shakespeare in Love. She was also nominated in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
Earlier this year, Paltrow was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture for her role as Kay Stone in Marty Supreme. In addition to her nomination, the actress will take to the stage to give a presentation.
It was Marty Supreme that marked Paltrow’s return to acting. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in December, she reflected on how her “acting bug” came back. However, it wasn’t until she started preparing for the film that it officially started.
“I was like, ‘Oh my god, do I remember how to do this?'” she recalls. “It’s been seven years, but it didn’t go away until I was doing a hair and makeup test on set. That’s when I thought, ‘Oh my god, what is this weird feeling? Oh my god, this is excitement. I’m actually really excited to be here.'”
