A new trailer has been released for Season 2 of Percy Jackson, which will air in two episodes on December 10th.
The trailer begins with Percy (Walker Scovell) narrating a nightmare that seems to “tell me the future or try to kill me.” While he is speaking, Grover (Aryan Singhadri) is seen on the beach facing a giant tentacled monster that drags him into the sea. Before this, Percy himself is seen attacked by a humanoid monster in the forest, and then by his friend Luke (Charlie Bushnell), who betrayed him in season 1 to fight for the giant Kronos.
Percy and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) then reunite and compare notes about premonitions, with Percy saying he was dreaming about Grover and Annabeth saying the dream was about Camp Half-Blood. Accompanied by the cyclops Tyson (Daniel Diemer), they return to the camp in a magical taxi driven by the mysterious Gray Sisters (Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, Margaret Cho), where Dionysus (Jason Mantzoukas) tells them that the dangers facing the camp are greater than they imagined, and they witness Luke poisoning the tree that supports the camp’s protective wall.
“To find the key to our survival, we must explore a sea of monsters,” says Tantalus (Timothy Simmons), and various footage of Percy, Annabeth, and Clarice (Dior Goodjohn) are shown in a dangerous, stormy sea. “We look out for each other. That’s what real heroes do,” Percy says. At that moment, a mysterious voice, presumably Kronos’s, says, “Kill the son of Poseidon,” and Percy is immediately seen falling on the battlefield from Charlie’s blow. Hermes (Lin-Manuel Miranda), the messenger god who is also Charlie’s father, tells Percy that he cannot give up on his family. Later, Percy is reunited with his father, Poseidon (Toby Stevens), who tells him not to underestimate himself.
“I won’t let those stupid monsters get in my way,” Percy says as the trailer ends.
