Gordon Ramsay believes Brooklyn Beckham is “desperate to carve his own way” in his marriage to Nicola Peltz Beckham, which led to a highly publicized rift with his parents David and Victoria Beckham.
“It’s hard when you’re infatuated, right? Love is blind. That’s why they say it,” Ramsay told The Sun in an interview published Friday while promoting his upcoming Netflix series “Being Gordon Ramsay.”
The chef acknowledged it was a “difficult situation”.
“He’s desperate to stand on his own two feet. He’s desperate to carve his own path. I respect that from Brooklyn. That’s very good. But remember where you come from. And to be honest, one day you’re going to be without your mom and dad. You have to understand that.”
“Victoria is upset and understandably upset,” Ramsay, 59, said of the ongoing family feud, adding that she and her family attended the 2022 Palm Beach wedding in Brooklyn. The hot sauce entrepreneur claims that Victoria danced “inappropriately” with him there.
“I know how much David loves Brooklyn 24/7,” the “Next Level Chef” star continued.
Brooklyn, 26, unfollowed most of her relatives on social media in December. A month before that, he publicly announced that he no longer wanted to reconcile with his parents.
However, he maintains a “strong” relationship with Ramsey. The MasterChef host revealed in an interview Friday that he and Brooklyn had “exchanged a few messages.”
“I love him. He has a great heart,” Ramsey said.
Brooklyn accused his mother, 51, of “hijacking” his wedding dance with his wife, and also claimed that his parents had told “a million lies” and tried to “ruin” his relationship with Peltz.
Although things look bleak for the famous family, Mr Ramsay insisted David, 50, will eventually find a way to mend his relationship with his eldest son.
“I’ve seen with my own eyes how good parents they are. David as a father is really great,” he said. “They both put so much energy into their kids that I know they got Brooklyn out of trouble many times.”
He concluded by asking Brooklyn to remember where he came from and the sacrifices his parents made for him.
Representatives for Brooklyn did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
“I think it’s only a matter of time before Brooklyn takes a hard look at himself and realizes what his parents mean to him,” Ramsay warned. “The penny is going to drop.”
“I want Brooklyn to think about himself a little bit. And remember, you’re half mother and half father. And you’re a wonderful young man.”
“But, hey, they’ve done more for you than anyone else has ever done in your life,” he added. “Time is the best healer. David will definitely help get our relationship back on track.”
In January, Brooklyn released a scathing statement about the ongoing family feud, writing on social media at the time, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I am not being controlled. For the first time in my life, I am standing up for myself. My parents have controlled coverage of our family all their lives.”
