“Golden Bachelorette” alum Joan Bathos revealed that her daughter Allison once dated Stefon Diggs.
“She was a senior in high school and he went to a high school down the road, so she dated him,” the Maryland native said about their bizarre relationship on Friday’s episode of Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti’s “Almost Famous” podcast.
Vassos, who raised her children in Rockville, said the New England Patriots wide receiver “was always at my house. I have pictures of him with my family.”
One image in particular was from a birthday dinner for her late husband John, 63, who shared Diggs’ birthday with Diggs, 32.
“We took him to Morton’s (steakhouse) for dinner, and I still have a photo of him at Morton’s,” recalled Bassos, whose children, Nicholas, 36, Erika, 33, Alison, 30, and Luke, 29, lived with John.
Diggs attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland, a 20-minute drive from Rockville. After graduating in 2012, he attended the University of Maryland for three years before joining the NFL.
Allison, who is currently married to husband Noah Joseph and has a son named Boomer, who plays Diggs, sparked rumors of a split from her on-again, off-again girlfriend Cardi B during Super Bowl weekend in 2026.
Diggs and Cardi, who gave birth to a baby boy in November 2025, fueled the rumors after they unfollowed each other on social media.
Cardi first caused a stir before the big game when an ESPN reporter asked her if she had any words of encouragement for Diggs before the game.
She coolly replied, “Good luck,” and walked away.
Diggs’ team lost the championship game to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, and Cardi made an early exit after appearing on Bad Bunny’s halftime show.
Meanwhile, Diggs previously teased that they could get engaged in the near future if the Patriots take home a championship ring.
“It’s on the agenda,” he told reporters on Super Bowl opening night. “Maybe? First I have to get (a Super Bowl ring).”
The athlete also took a moment to gush about the rapper, who shares children Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 16 months, with ex-husband Offset.
Diggs said of Cardi’s support during the season, “As someone important to me, I really appreciate it.” “It’s a level of gratitude because she’s an amazing woman. For her to be there for me, as you can imagine, is tough. I have a lot to deal with, but I never want to let her know that I appreciate her being there. She supported me not only at the games, but when she wasn’t there.”
“She was watching the game,” he continued. “She texted me before and after the game to make sure I was OK.”
After their Super Bowl loss and rumors of a breakup, 50 Cent couldn’t help but poke fun at Diggs.
“Can you imagine waking up this morning and losing the Super Bowl to this woman?” the rapper posted on Instagram on Monday.
“I tell everyone to stay away from me, drink alcohol and go back to sleep (laughs).”
Cardi didn’t mind, as she splurged on a $500,000 Audemars Piguet watch from jeweler Benny days after the fight.
“A little present from me,” she said on Benny’s Instagram Reel on Monday.
Cardi said she bought the watch “to properly prepare for the tour.”
“I’d love to see you all on tour,” said the hitmaker, whose Little Miss Drama Tour begins Wednesday in Palm Desert, California.
