Global Constellation, an international sales and finance company, has joined the five-episode limited series “Heaven’s Gate” for worldwide sales. The company will introduce the series to overseas buyers for the first time at Series Mania.
Spanning two timelines, 1942 and the mid-1990s, Heaven’s Gate follows Saskia, a woman who travels to Indonesia with her teenage daughter Alex after inheriting a long-abandoned plantation called Heaven’s Gate. What begins as a practical decision quickly develops into an unforgettable journey into the hidden secrets of her family’s colonial history. Saskia relives the life of Anisa, a Javanese woman from 1942. He becomes embroiled in a love triangle between farm owner Jan Stockmann and his wife Marie.
When Saskia is haunted by these visions, Alex fears for her mother’s sanity and struggles to keep her on her feet. Determined to uncover the plantation’s secrets, Saskia risks completely losing herself in its haunting history.
