New details have emerged about Gisele Bündchen and Joaquin Valente’s wedding, which took place in a private backyard in Florida on December 3rd.
A source told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday that Bundchen and Valente tied the knot at their home in Miami, making the ceremony small and private. “It was simple and beautiful,” the source said, adding that Bündchen’s older children and relatives were in attendance, as were Valente’s relatives and the couple’s baby son, who was born earlier this year.
Since her divorce from Tom Brady in 2022, the model has focused on slowing down and embracing a quieter pace, according to ET. A source told the magazine that Bündchen is “the happiest she’s been in a while,” adding: “She’s very much in love and happy. Gisele describes Joaquin as her soulmate and best friend. She has the man of her dreams and a baby and feels like she has it all.”
This is in line with what a source shared with People magazine earlier this month, which reported that Bündchen intentionally kept her wedding from the public eye. “Gisele is tired of all the attention to her personal life,” a source told the magazine at the time, explaining that a small, private wedding was exactly what she wanted. Another official said they didn’t want anything “over the top” and said the timing was right.
According to People magazine, Bundchen, who shares son Benjamin, 16, and daughter Vivian, 13, with Brady, lives in Miami, where she is “incredibly happy.” She first started dating Valente in 2022, and their relationship gradually evolved from friendship. They started dating in 2023.
In a March 2024 interview with The New York Times, Bündchen reflected on their romance, saying, “It’s the first time you’re meeting someone who was your friend. It’s very different. It’s very honest, it’s very transparent.”
