Ginnifer Goodwin wanted to make sure her sons were ready for their red carpet debut. So they did a practice run.
The Zootopia 2 actress, 47, appeared on an episode of the Dinners on Me podcast and explained that she did a dry run to get her sons Hugo, 9, and Oliver, 11, ready to attend the film’s premiere. Goodwin has two sons with her husband, Josh Dallas.
“So my kids campaigned to come to the premiere of ‘Zootopia 2,’ and now they’re going to be on a crazy international press tour with me,” Goodwin said.
“And we had a big conversation about how do we make sure it’s not overexposed, but how… we want it to be in something like a bowling alley bumper,” she continued. “You know those gutter bumpers you see when you’re at a bowling alley? Like, how do you install that in this situation?”

Goodwin went on to say that she and Dallas, 46, said their sons could walk red carpets together but didn’t want to share them on social media just yet.
“So we said, ‘Okay, you can walk the red carpet with us, but we’re not going to post you on social media.'” But we’re going to practice with them,” Goodwin said, noting it could be “intense.”
“Because Hollywood Boulevard was shut down at that premiere,” Goodwin said. “So (my sons) said, ‘Do you remember when we went to the Knicks game?’” And I was like, “Yeah.” And they said, “Remember when we left, there were a lot of photographers there?” Jesse, there were a couple of photographers. And I thought, “Yeah.” ”
“And they were like, ‘Is that going to happen?’” And we thought, “Oh, we need a dry run.” You have to actually practice,” said the mother of two.
“It’s about thinking ahead,” Ferguson added.

Goodwin and Dallas walked the carpet with Hugo and Oliver at the Zootopia 2 premiere on November 13th. The appearance marked the red carpet debut of the couple’s sons.
Goodwin wore an off-the-shoulder cream floor-length dress with floral glitter embellishments. Dallas looked perfect with his wife in a beige suit. Their sons matched each other, wearing black suits, ties, and square-framed glasses.
At the premiere, the actress and mother of two spoke to E! News about her decision to bring in her two sons while keeping some of her family life private.
“We have never sent our children to Hollywood,” the actress told the outlet. “We are very private. We show their faces on social media.”

The proud mother went on to tell the media that she and Dallas have one big rule for their sons when it comes to social media.
“We explained to them that we would no longer be posting about them and that they were not allowed to Google them themselves,” she said. “And they say that, but their friends will, and I’m like, ‘That’s fine. We’re not their parents.'”
The Once Upon a Time star, who voices main character Judy Hopps, said her sons convinced their parents to attend the film’s premiere with them.
“We were like, ‘That’s it,'” she explained, adding, “This is about family for us, Zootopia.” ”
Zootopia 2 will be released in theaters on Wednesday, November 26th.
