Ginger Minj, Jujubee and other ‘Drag Race’ stars to join Rupaul action comedy

A fan favorite from the “Rupaul’s Drag Race” franchise is coming out in Adam Shankman’s upcoming action-comedy feature film. Ginger Minji, Juju Bee, Brook Lynn Hites, Latrice Royale, Marcia Marcia Marcia, Monette X. Change, and Simone will all be appearing in the as-yet-untitled and certainly diva-reas movie. Marks the first-ever theatrical feature from the world of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

Additionally, Producer Universal Pictures Content Group has entered into an agreement to acquire all international rights to the picture. As previously announced, Bleecker Street will release the film, which is theatrically billed as a “wild ride of camp and comedy,” in North America in 2026.

According to the official logline, “The film follows best friends Tess (Ginger Minj) and Dee Dee (Jujubee), who train stewardesses through boring shifts for the disastrous Glamazonian Express. Lynn Hytes, Marcia Marcia Marcia, Latrice Royale), and President Gagwell (Rupaul) save the day.”

The film is produced by World of Wonder, Universal Pictures Content Group and Bleecker Street, and written by Connor Wright and Christina Friel. Producers include Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, RuPaul Charles, and Shankman. Unapologetic Projects is the project’s executive producer and investor.

Ginger Minj is a singer, actor, and drag performer, recognized on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and as a winner of “All Stars 10.” Her screen credits include Netflix’s ‘Dumplin’ opposite Jennifer Aniston. Disney’s “Hocus Pocus 2” stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy. And, it is characterized by the “Heritage of Cloudy Falls”. This fall, Ginger will direct, co-produce, and co-star in a new edition of her touring show, “Hokus Pokus Live!”

Jujubee is a drag performer, singer, and television personality best known for her appearances on seasons of “Rupaul’s Drag Race,” “Rupaul’s Drag Race: All Stars,” and “Rupaul’s Drag U.” She also appeared on TLC’s “Dragnifict” and competed in the global singing competition “Queen of the Universe.” This fall, she will voice Archie in the animated feature “Sirenetta: Parttime Mermaid,” in addition to teaming up with Ginger Minj on the national tour of “Hokus Pokus Live!”

Brooke Lynn Hytes is a Toronto-born drag performer, classically trained ballerina, and host of “Canadian Drag Race.” She became the first Canadian cast member when she appeared on season 11 of ‘Rupaul’s Drag Race’ and is the creator, executive producer and host of ‘1 Queen 5 Queers.’

Latrice Royale won hearts as Miss Gay on season 4 of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ and went on to become one of the franchise’s biggest stars. She went on to appear on “All Stars” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race: Live!”. in Las Vegas and HBO’s “We Are Here,” and Netflix’s “AJ & The Queen.” On stage, she has appeared in ‘Death Drop’ in London’s West End, played Audrey II in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ and has headlined an international tour. Her acclaimed solo shows “Life Here” and “Life Goes On” sold out worldwide.

Marcia Marcia Marcia is a drag performer and standout contestant on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 15. He is best known as Marty Lauter on Broadway. She starred in “Kinky Boots,” “Hello, Dolly!” and the Broadway revival of “Cabaret.”

MonétXChange is an award-winning Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian and multi-hyphenate. She performed sold-out shows at comedy clubs and theaters in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. Netflix is ​​Joke Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her debut one-woman comedy show, “Life be Lifin’,” won raves. She is also the co-host of the hit Webby and Glaad award-winning podcast, “Sibling Rivalry,” and the creator and host of her new YouTube chat show, “Monét Talks.”

Symone, the winner of season 13 of “Rupaul’s Drag Race,” is a renowned Atlanta model and performer known for her bold runway looks, powerhouse performances, and cultural influence. She is recognized for her screen work in the romantic comedy ‘Brothers’ starring Billy Eichner. ABC’s “Station 19” and “Star-Crossed: The Film” are visual companions to Kacey Musgraves’ fifth studio album of the same name.

Bleecker Street recently released Rob Reiner’s “Spinal Tap II: The End Continues.” Upcoming indie films include Max Walker Silverman’s Sundance favorite “Reconstruction,” starring Josh O’Connor; “Fuckham Hall”, a spoof of the British period drama starring Damian Lewis, Thomasin McKenzie and Katherine Waterston. and Guy Nattiff’s “Harmonia,” starring Vera Ramsay, Odessa Young, Carrie Coon and Lily James.
