Panera smacked two stars of one of TV’s most cozy shows to launch the fall menu for Comfort Food.
Jared Padalekki and Matt Chukley both played Rory’s boyfriends in the Gilmore Girls and joined the brand’s new campaign.
The playful ads highlight the character of Panera soup. Panera’s soup appears to reflect the notable qualities of Rory’s three suitors.
Like Dean Forester from Padelecki, where Rory dates in high school, Chile with a fireplace is “reliable” and “tastes like home.” Fall squash soup is “more refined” similar to Czuchry’s wealthy Logan Huntzberger. Czuchry tells people that the restaurant chain and beloved series will each utilize the concept of Danish Hygge.
“I think that feeling, the essence of Heidi, that is this cozy feeling, satisfaction, warmth, unity,” the actor says. “And that also makes it a kind of lifestyle with blankets and candles and great home cooking.”
He adds that Gilmore Girls, who will be 25 next month, “After all these years, is it still a warm and cozy blanket for people?”
Czuchry says it was “really easy and comfortable” to work with Padalecki on the campaign.
“I’ve seen him over the years and always loved his energy and kindness, and that’s how it was set for us too,” he says.

Czuchry says fans still enjoy discussing their favorite boyfriend of Alexis Bledel’s character “Because I love Rory.”
“It’s Gilmore Girls,” he says. “It’s about that mother-daughter relationship and what they experience in life. And they want the best for Rory. And people have a very strong opinion on who it should be.”
The actor says his personal ranking of Rory’s Bows “really depends on where you drop in the story.”
His own character dated Rory while they were Yale students, but she eventually turned down his marriage proposal in the penultimate episode of the original series. Revival Gilmore Girls in 2016: In a year of her life, Rory continued to watch Logan and was engaged to a French heir named Odette.

“Maybe if Logan married Odette and was with Odette for a few years, then I realized that I was always doing what I did and doing what was expected of me for my family, then the love of my life is Rory and I would like to try again with her again.”
Then we could see that relationship work at the end of where we left the original show,” he continues. “Of course Logan suggested, she said no. And I think it was probably the right choice for Rory, as it wasn’t just the right time. And if you go back when we did a revival, once again, the timing was incorrect for them. ”
Czuchry says fans approach him and say they are “very often” Team Logan.

“During the show running, people showed up and had passionate opinions on whether Logan felt suitable for Rory,” he recalls. “But now there was some separation from the show that it was finished, and now it’s ‘Hey, we’re Team Logan.”
“Now it’s just like, ‘Hey, I love that show. That show is so important to me. Thank you. I watch it with my mom and we see it every fall, or it was an important part of me growing up,” he adds.
Czuchry said his favorite quality about Logan was his support for Rory’s dream of becoming a journalist.

“I felt he was trying to push her to challenge her, ‘If you want to be a writer, I’ll go for it.” I’ll go for your best life. “And that was what I had at my first audition before I got to work. That was essentially my audition.”
He says that he’s “really connected to that” because he’s already seen the show.
“This character was different for Rory, so he made her the best, went for her dreams and pushed her to open more.

A quarter century after its premiere on October 5, 2000, Czuchry says he saw “how much love there is in the show” through fan events and media coverage.
“The show first came out 25 years ago and it’s still a new audience today who appreciates it. And there are kids called Logan and tattoos about the Brigade of Life and Death,” he mentions Yale’s Secret Society.
He added, “It’s really beautiful about what the Gilmore Girls did.”
