Gigi Hadid is ringing in the new year with a complete hair makeover.
The model traded in her California blonde hue for a sleek black bob in a photo shared on Instagram by hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos on Thursday.
Hadid has ventured into brunette territory before, but never for an extended period of time, and never this intensely.
In the slideshow of photos, which Giannetos dubbed a “matte black mini bob,” she flaunts her ultra-dark hue in a side-parted wet look with a sharp bob cut that barely goes past her chin.
In the caption, the stylist wrote, “New color | My beautiful @gigihadid cut @maybelline,” so it’s unclear whether this is a temporary change for the shoot or simply the start of a new beauty era for the 30-year-old.
Maybelline shared a new ad for its Lush Sensational Body Mascara on Friday morning, featuring Hadid in all her dark-haired glory.
For the shoot, the model wore a sheer black catsuit, topped with an elongated boned corset layered around her waist.
Fans loved the new look of Giannetos’ comments section, with lots of fire emojis posted.
“Wow, she’s perfect,” one fan cheered. “This color is everything,” said a second, while a third declared: “That cut is razor sharp.” Many compared Gigi to her sister and fellow model Bella, who recently dyed her black hair a platinum color.
“The Hadid sisters have been replaced,” the source wrote. “Gigi with the dark hair reminds us of Bella and Bella reminds us of Gigi. It was like saying ‘We are one 🌸,'” another fan said.
Many have also claimed that Gigi is “pulling off every shade,” making us wonder just how much experimentation this star will be doing in 2026.
