Gigi Hadid officially took the stage at the 5th annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
After first appearing on the glamorous VS runway in 2015, the model returned to the grand stage on Wednesday night to prove why she earned her wings.
When “Make You Mine” singer Madison Beer took to the stage, the supermodel wore pink lace two-piece bustier lingerie underneath a pink petal floor-length coat.
Hadid took to the stage for the second time looking heavenly, wearing a white corset top and boy’s pants, beneath large pillowy white angel wings.
This year’s show was styled by Karlin Cerf de Duzire, an iconic stylist with whom Hadid has worked many times.
Last week, Victoria’s Secret announced that Hadid would be appearing on the catwalk in a series of behind-the-scenes videos, writing: “You never thought this year’s show would be without @gigihadid, did you?”
The brand’s caption continued, “This full-circle moment is dedicated to everyone who has ever dreamed of wings.”
Upon seeing one of her (out of frame) looks, Hadid exclaimed, “Is that for me?! Oh! This was meant to be.”
Hadid returned to the VS show after a six-year hiatus and opened the show last year wearing a pink silk romper and matching feathered wings. Looking back on 2024, the model said, “This was the first time I was asked to open a Victoria’s Secret fashion show. I’ll never forget it.”
Hadid was joined by first-time VS model Angel Reese, veterans Ashley Graham, Jasmine Tookes and her boyfriend, Bradley Cooper’s ex, Irina Shayk, on tonight’s wing-filled runway.
“That’s part of the dream come true,” Hadid said, tearing up in front of the camera while talking about the show. “To have all the girls I get to be on with and only one of them is my sister is a really weird part of the fever dream of this show.”
Hadid is the mother of 5-year-old daughter Kai, who also shares her excitement: “This is the most glamorous, exciting, sparkly, fun, pink version of my work. So for me, this is the most exciting thing to tell Kai. And I know she’s just as excited about every outfit as I am.”
And when the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show comes to a close, models will see it as a timeline of their lives.
“I’m going to keep coming back to the show. I’m so happy for that girl who first watched the show, and I’m so happy for my teenage self who just watched the show,” she said. “Looking back, I feel like with each show I became a different version of myself.”
