George Clooney counts Adam Sandler among his closest friends and collaborators.
“I love him,” Clooney, 64, tells people at Jay Kelly’s premiere on Monday, September 29th. There, he and Sandler, 59, are stars as movie stars and his manager, respectively. The new film is marked for the first time when the two actors work together on screen.
“He is the sweetest man in the world. He is a dear friend and the fact that I was able to work with him.
“I’m actually making Adamwear suits,” jokes Clooney, referring to his co-stars’ signature casual style. “Don’t you think he looks pretty? Instead of big baggy shorts?”
Jay Kelly (streamed in theaters on November 14th, Netflix on December 5th) comes from director and co-author Noah Bambach and author Emily Mortimer. It follows the honorable film actor on his journey to search for the souls of all Europe, and Sandler offers support as one of many members of his team.

“The cast” is the Clooney Raves, “it’s incredible. Billy Cradup steals the entire show and he’s in one scene.”
With a terrible smile, he says, “I want to kill him.”
Clooney previously praised Sandler’s dramatic skills, and in an interview at Vanity Fair in August, Jay Kelly said, “He shows the soulful actor what’s beautiful to the cast… I kept telling the cast, “Don’t call him Sandman.”

The Happy Gilmore Writer Star had said equally good things about Clooney. “He gave me some of the best coffee I’ve ever had,” Sandler tells people at the film’s premiere. “I got George Coffee once or twice a week.”
