BARBARA EDEN has shared a new photo that has garnered attention and made fans do a double take.
Eden, 94, was stunned by the photo shared on the “I Dream of Jeannie” star’s Instagram page.
The actress and her husband, John Eicholts, wore matching bunny ears as they celebrated the Easter holiday together.
One of her followers commented: “She’s amazing. I want to know her secret.”
“Still gorgeous and ageless!!!” wrote another. A third comment read: “Beauty beyond age, for sure.”
Eden enjoyed a decades-long career in Hollywood, but many remember her best for her beloved 1960s sitcom. “Genie’s Dream” is the story of astronaut Major Tony Nelson (Larry Hagman), who discovers a magic vial containing a 2,000-year-old genie (Eden).
The two fall in love and build a life together.
The series first aired on September 18, 1965 and catapulted Eden to superstardom. It aired for five seasons, ending in 1970.
These days, Eden enjoys a quiet life with her husband and dog Bentley.
“I didn’t realize ‘Genie’ was so popular until a few years ago. I’m still surprised,” Eden told People magazine in 2025. “I can’t believe it. I’m getting emails from Russia. Can you imagine? I’m getting fan letters from Russia, China, Japan, Poland, Italy, Germany, South America, England. If you’d told me that during filming, I wouldn’t have believed it.”
Eden told the outlet that fans often ask her to do Ginny’s signature arm-crossing motion to “work some magic,” but sometimes she does it back.
“It’s magic,” she said. “They always want magic. Magic is good.”
In recent years, Eden revealed the truth about why the 1960s sitcom was originally filmed in black and white before switching to color. “I was going to have a baby,” she explained in an interview with People. “And they started right away. I think they thought I was going to die or something. They didn’t want to invest money in collar.”
It was long believed that showrunners were worried about how the show’s special effects would look in color, prompting them to play it safe, People magazine reported.
But they were actually more concerned about hiding Eden’s growing baby bump.
“The day Genie Dreams came out, the doctor told me I was pregnant,” Eden previously told the outlet.
“I was very happy. I was very happy, but I knew they had to replace me. Well, God, love[Genie Dreams creator]Sidney Sheldon. He got to work and did the first 13 shows with me pregnant.”
