Maggie Beau’s friend Alexandra Kay has denied rumors of a relationship with Keith Urban.
In an interview with Taste of Country, the country singer addressed rumors that Urban and guitarist Beau are dating amidst his high-profile divorce from Nicole Kidman.
“Honestly, I was heartbroken for them because the media scrutiny is insane and the things people say… they kind of fuel rumors about Maggie Beau and I’m like, ‘She’s a good friend of mine and I know that’s absolutely not true,'” she told the outlet in an interview published Wednesday.
“It’s sad for everyone involved that people would do something like that and tear their personal lives apart,” Kaye continued. “I pray for their peace and for everyone to have privacy.”
Kaye also claimed that Bo has a boyfriend, which seems to confirm the Daily Mail’s recent claims that the guitarist is already romantically involved with someone.
“I met her boyfriend and she’s very happy. And she has nothing to do with that whole (Nicole and Keith) relationship,” she told the outlet.
Page Six has reached out to Bo and Urban’s representatives.
Amid news that Urban and Kidman were headed for divorce after 19 years of marriage, footage of Urban and Beau having a flirtatious exchange onstage in Las Vegas in April resurfaced earlier this month.
In a video obtained by TMZ, Urban performed “The Fighter,” a song about the “Big Little Lies” actress. After belting out the lyrics, “I was born to love you,” he pointed directly at Bo.
Beau sang along and hugged Urban at the end of the song. Urban recently changed the lyrics of the Kidman-inspired song to include a reference to the guitarist mid-show, further fueling the storm of speculation.
The guitarist’s father, Chuck Baugh, told the Daily Mail in early October, “I don’t know anything about her other than that she’s his guitarist.”
He added, “This is more about being a musician than a date,” and confessed, “I’m not listening anyway.”
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old musician posed for a loving photo with fellow 25-year-old California lighting designer Cameron Corey on his Instagram carousel earlier this month.
According to the Daily Mail, Corey captioned the March 7 photo, “One year of love. Forever.” It also notes that Corey reportedly “liked” Beau’s recent Instagram upload.
The Daily Mail also claimed to have traced Beau to her former West Nashville apartment, where a neighbor in her new Nashville neighborhood claimed she lived with Corey until “earlier this year.”
“She (Beau) moved in a few months ago,” a neighbor of her new home in Nashville told the outlet, and the Daily Mail reported earlier this month that a FedEx vehicle made a delivery to Corey’s home.
None of the neighbors who spoke to the Daily Mail said they had seen the 57-year-old Sweet Thing hitmaker in his new home.
Page Six confirmed on September 29 that Urban and Kidman, 58, have separated after 19 years of marriage.
“Sometimes relationships just pass on their own,” a source told Page Six, adding that Kidman “didn’t want to separate and was trying to salvage things.”
The Oscar-winning actress and country singer have been living apart “since the beginning of the summer,” multiple sources claimed to TMZ at the time.
Kidman then filed for divorce on September 30, citing common “irreconcilable differences,” including parenting plans for their daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
A source told TMZ at the time that Urban was rumored to be having an affair with “another woman.”
“All signs point to the fact that Keith is with another woman,” multiple sources told the outlet.
“I’m telling you, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked.”
