Marvel Animation has announced that the second season of “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” will be released on Disney+ in fall 2026. The news was announced at New York Comic Con, where a trailer was shown to fans in attendance.
The trailer reveals that Season 2 will feature the introduction of Venom symbiote Gwen Stacy and the return of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil. It also featured the return of Norman and Harry Osborn, villains such as Doctor Okotopus, Chameleon and Scorpion, and the emergence of Nico Minoru’s magical powers.
Hudson Thames provides the voice of Peter Parker in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, released on Disney+ in early 2025. The animated series is set in a different world than the MCU’s Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, and there are many important differences between the two wall-crawlers.
In Your Friendly Neighborhood, Spider-Man, Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr., is replaced with Norman Osborn (voiced by Colman Domingo), known as the Green Goblin in previous films and comics, instead of mentoring a young Peter Parker. This version of Norman is the CEO of Oscorp and gives internships to Peter and his friends, but his true motives are questionable.
Instead of Zendaya’s Mary Jane and Jacob Batalon’s Ned, Peter’s new friends are influencer Harry Osborn (Zeno Robinson) and secret magic user Nico Minoru (Grace Song). The cast includes Eugene Byrd as a younger version of the classic Spider-Man villain Tombstone, Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius, MCU star Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Kari Wahlgren as Aunt May, Alex Lee as Amadeus Cho, and Jonathan Medina as the villain Scorpion.
Season 1 of “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” ended on several cliffhangers. Doctor Strange (Robert Atkin Downs) helps Spidey fight Venom, an alien symbiote from another dimension. Norman Osborn secretly kept parts of the symbiote for experimentation. It was also revealed that Peter’s father Richard, long thought dead, was actually alive and in prison.
