Hoda Kotb sent support to Savannah Guthrie as her “Today” show co-host’s mother went missing in Arizona.
Kotb, 61, has yet to directly address the news, but posted the word “hope” over the rainbow on Instagram Monday morning.
Her “heartbroken” social media followers flooded the comments section with thoughts and prayers for Savannah’s family.
“May a miracle happen to Savannah’s mom!” one fan wrote, “so praying. My heart hurts,” while another added.
Kotb also shared a snap of Savannah and Nancy smiling, along with heart and prayer hands emojis.
A representative for Kotb has not yet responded to Page Six’s request for comment.
Savannah’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, was last seen Saturday night at her home in the Catalina Foothills, Arizona, leaving the scene and authorities are “extremely concerned.”
Homicide detectives have been investigating the 84-year-old’s disappearance since her family reported her missing Sunday.
They have not ruled out foul play.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said Nancy was “in poor physical health,” but was “cognitively intact” and of “sound mental health.”
Savannah, 54, was absent from the Today show as her colleagues Sheinelle Jones and Craig Melvin reported on the investigation on air.
However, the journalist issued a statement on behalf of the family.
“We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and messages of support. At this time, our focus remains on the safe return of our beloved mother,” Savannah wrote.
“We appreciate the efforts of law enforcement on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900,” her statement concluded.
Savannah is the youngest of Nancy and her three children with husband Charles Guthrie, who died when the Daytime Emmy winner was in high school.
In May 2023, Savannah gushed on “Today” about how her widow’s “selflessness” is pushing her to flee the nest and pursue her own career.
“It wasn’t because she didn’t want me to stay. Of course she wanted me to stay,” Savannah recalled, praising Nancy for “refusing to let anything get in the way of[her]dreams.”
