We did that! Well, most of it. It’s only a few days before finally learning who won the “retirement”/”pit” Smackdown…and this weekend’s Creative Arts Emmy has been added to the plot. Sean Hutsey won a guest actor for “Pitt”, and Merritt Weaver was named guest actress for “retirement.” “Resignation” leads “Pitt” when it comes to winning previous Talley (6-2), but then “Pitt” wins in a very important casting category, perhaps showing where the acting vote is heading.

In this episode of this Variety Awards Circuit podcast, we talk to Emmy’s host Nate Bargatze about how this Sunday awards show is shaped. But first, the Round Table makes final predictions for all major Emmy categories. Listen below!

Produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment, this year’s Emmy will feature a 25th anniversary reunion of “Gilmore Girls” with stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledell, as well as a tribute to the 40th anniversary “Golden Girls.”

Mariska Hargitay also pays tribute to the “Law & Order” franchise, while Jeff Probst is celebrating the 50th season of “Survivor.” Additionally, Eric Dane and Jesse Williams will help celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Grey’s Anatomy.”

As for Bargatze, he is excited to talk about his plan to shorten his acceptance speech by donating money to the Boys & Girls Club every time the winner doesn’t go long. And he discussed the fact that he was heading to Denver to play stand-up this weekend.

“In my stand-up, I think you’re together for more rides. “There’s going to be a little more night like this. There’s a little more of what’s going on when it’s happening all night. I have to prepare for what could happen. If you think of something interesting at the moment, you have to trust it and see if it works or not.
