Felix van Groningen has begun photography in Belgium with a new film entitled “Let Love In.” The romantic drama features a prominent Belgian Autaretome with Italian actor Luca Marinelli (“Eight Mountain”) who stars Charlotte Vandermarsh.

Vandermeersh, a partner of Van Groningen, is a multi-hyphenate who co-directed the 2022 Alpine Set epic, “Eight Mountains.” Van Groningen previously directed Oscar-nominated “Broken Circle Breakdown” and “Beautiful Boy,” starring Timothée Chalamett and Steve Carell. Anne Paulicevich (Tango Libre) also stars in “Let Love In.”

“Let Love in” is the story of the emotional journey of a couple who “question about everything they once took when a long and protected event was confessed,” according to the synopsis provided. But “what appears to be a crisis relationship reveals its status as a narrative of healing and reconnection.”

“Let Love In” will also reunite Italian producers Mario Gianani and Van Gronengen after a successful collaboration on “Eight Mountains.” It is produced by Hans Evarato, Van Groningen, Vandermazsch, Mario Janani, Lorenzo Miri and Lorenzo Gangarrossa. “Let Love in” has been announced by Mubi, Match Factory and Mediawan’s Our Films run by Gianani and Mieli.

Mubi has film and co-production, fundraising and distribution agreements. “Let Love In” is part of the second project in the agreement following “1949” starring Sandra Hüller, which is currently filming.

“Let Love In” is a production company of the films, Menuetto and Rufus, in collaboration with Circle One.

The film is funded by Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF), Kinepolis Film Distribution (KFD), Proxus, VRT and tax shelter in Belgium (in collaboration with BNP Pariba Fortis Film Finance and Kasakafka Photography).
