“OW” or amazing?
Kim Kardashian was wearing the pale grey Maison Marguilla Couture look that fans had stumped at the DoVF Awards in Venice, Italy on Thursday night.
The fresh floor-length creation from the couture runway in autumn 2025 featured a cape that dramatically reached her behind as she walked, a neckline tighter than a corset, a corset. But what made Instagram so much more lively was the unusual bodice detail.
Fashion Bomb Daily shared a video of the look on Instagram, but commenters did not suppress it.
“What’s going on with the toes of the Bene Gesserit camel?” one fan wrote, referring to the “dune” cosmic covering sisterhood.
“All I’m looking at is the sheets and wedges,” another said.
“My cooter is troubled by this,” the third declared.
Skims founder 44, Glenn Martens, the new designer of the French fashion house, sent the Paris runway, but another fan couldn’t help but see something creepy about the ensemble.
“What is this in an American horror story?” they wrote.
Others came to Kim’s defense and called Margiela’s moment an avant-garde moment. “I like drama babies,” one admirer said, while another wrote, “Oh, this is a modest surprise.”
Fashion plays were not just for shows. The reality star was in Venice to win the prestigious domestic violence and sexually transmitted sexual advances for his work with criminal justice reform.
“Please protect those who truly support our country and have built it,” she told the Journalist Round Table before accepting her honor.
The award was presented to her by Chris Young, who was released from life sentence in prison 11 years after being sentenced for a low-level drug offence.
The dramatic Marguilla Gown is the latest in the Kardashian Whirlwind Italian-style tour.
On Thursday, she made the headline for her Venice arrival outfit: a slink black hooded gown and stiletto, and her 12-year-old daughter Northwest wore a gray pinstripe short-sleeved top decorated with safety pins and a matching miniskirt.
Earlier this week, the duo was filmed in Rome, with long blue pigtail tweens, edgy outfits (including one splitting corset), and reality star in crop tops, thong sandals and slinky slip dresses.
I can’t help but think that American Horror Story alumni will appear on the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival for the premiere.
