Timothée Chalamet, popular for his mopsy curls, has officially debuted a full-fledged hair change.
Chalamet shared a promotional video for his new movie Marty Supreme on Instagram Live, in which he revealed his new look.
The actor took to his Instagram on Tuesday to share the message, “Going live in 10 minutes,” followed by a video shot in a field of Chalamet and another actor wearing orange bowling balls on their heads.
Chalamet is sitting in a mesh cage wearing a hoodie that says “Mary Supreme,” with a bowling ball emblazoned with three black stars on his head. Small orange ping pong balls fly around the space, adding to the chaotic atmosphere.
The camera pans between the other actors (who are shown playing ping pong) as a music track repeats the lyrics, “I’m the commander.” Chalamet crawls out through a small door in the cage and removes his bowling ball-shaped head, revealing a freshly cropped hairstyle from underneath.
From there, he adjusted his hooded sweatshirt, entered a makeshift studio, and ended the live broadcast by telling the camera, “‘Marty Supreme’ is an American movie coming out on Christmas Day 2025.”
The camera then hovers for a moment, focusing on the movie poster and Chalamet blurring in front of it.
The haircut was first speculated about in July, when the singer was spotted vacationing in Saint-Tropez with a bandana on her head and a strangely clean-shaven neck.
At the New York Film Festival premiere of Marty Supreme on Monday, she surprised fans by covering her hair, sparking speculation.
Since Chalamet is currently filming Dune Part 3, many fans believe that his hairstyle change is actually for that movie and not his Marty Supreme character.
Overall, fans are not thrilled with this change. One person commented on the post: “Please don’t talk to me because I’m sad about his hair.”
Another fan wrote on X: “Timothée Chalamet proves a shaved head isn’t for everyone.”
Many humorously refer to his new “behavior” as “bald.” Although this is inaccurate, it seems appropriate compared to the few inches of hair he chopped off for this brand new style.
But what we tell ourselves after a reckless haircut or DIY bang trimming is, don’t worry, your hair will grow back.
