Was he not man enough for her?
Fans are convinced that Kayla Nicole’s “savage” Toni Braxton outfit this year is a dig at ex Travis Kelsey and his fiancé Taylor Swift.
The 33-year-old model took to Instagram on Friday to reveal that she dressed up as Braxton over the holidays to recreate the R&B singer’s music video for “He Wasn’t Man Enough.”
“She’s an icon. She’s a legend. She’s @tonibraxton circa 2000,” Nicole captioned the clip.
She followed the clip with a post sharing several snaps taken by photographers Sean Andrew and Moses Alexander from a Halloween photo shoot.
Some of Nicole’s followers cheered her on in the outfit from the comments section, praising her obvious shades for Kelsea and Swift.
“This is how you get the last laugh,” one follower wrote under the video.
Another netizen said: “This was a very barbaric act.” Meanwhile, a third person wrote: “No one’s mad, hahaha.”
A fan added, “Anyone go check out TayTay?”
Nicole’s move comes shortly after Swift, 35, appeared to shade the influencer with the pop star’s song “Oparite,” which is said to be about her fiancé and appears on her album “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Swift appears to reference Nicole in the lyrics, which read, “You never understood why you felt so alone/You were really in it, but she was in your phone/And you were just a pose.”
The line suggests that the host of the podcast “Pregame with Kayla Nicole” was with Kelce, 36, for influence.
This isn’t the first time a fitness industry influence has used the spooky holiday to launch a petty attack on another star.
During an October 2024 appearance on Angel Reese’s Unapologetically Angel podcast, Nicole previously hinted that she would dress up as Teyana Taylor for Halloween after former New York Knicks player Iman Shumpert allegedly dumped her via text message.
In the interview, Nicole only referred to the celebrity as “a famous singer and actress at the time.” But it wasn’t long before photos of Nicole dressed as Taylor in Kanye West’s 2016 “Fade” music video were unearthed on the internet.
At the time, Taylor, 34, had a scathing response to Nicole via social media, despite being “happily” divorced from the former NBA player.
“Fuck the private parts, I’m divorced and happy, but her choice of words was extremely offensive and unnecessary,” the “One Battle After Another” actress said in a since-deleted comment on a Shade Room post about the interview.
“She knew exactly what she was doing. She said she was ‘famous at the time’ and she said it was ‘funny for everyone to see’ and it was very offensive and unfair,” Taylor continued. “The most important thing is that she knew people would dig.”
