At the 62nd Cinema Audio Society Awards for Sound Mixing held at the Beverly Hilton on Saturday, the sound mixing teams of “F1” and “KPop Demon Hunters” won awards in the Live-Action Feature and Animated Feature categories, respectively.
On the television side, CAS Award winners also include honors for the sound teams of “The Pitt,” “The Studio” and “Adolescent.”
Guillermo del Toro was given the Filmmaker honor and re-recording mixer Skip Lievsay was given the Career Achievement honor. Mr. Lievsay’s career spans more than 40 years, and his credits include “Gravity,” “No Country for Old Men,” “True Grit,” “Inside Llewyn Davis” and “Roma.” He has collaborated with the Coen Brothers, Alfonso Cuaron, Martin Scorsese, and Spike Lee.
The Cinema Audio Society recognizes excellence in the professional art of sound mixing in both film and television, highlighting the outstanding contributions of sound mixers. Actor Chris Hardwick served as master of ceremonies.
