Ever Carradine has recalled the “most difficult week” of her life after the tragic death of her father Robert Carradine.

“After the most difficult week of my life, I went to see my friend @joannavargasnyc,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on Friday, before adding, “She did what she always did, took care of my soul, and lifted years off my face.”

Robert died on Monday at the age of 71, and the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office confirmed to Page Six that Robert’s cause of death was suicide.

The “Lizzie McGuire” star’s cause of death was the aftereffects of anoxic brain injury caused by hanging.

After the news broke, Eber, whose mother is Susan Snyder, posted a heartbreaking tribute to her father on social media.

“Today my father passed away. Only 20 years older than me, my sweet and funny father never missed an opportunity to drive me to the airport or tell me how much he loved my homemade salad dressing,” the “Handmaid’s Tale” alum wrote on Instagram.

Those who know Robert have described him as knowing him as a man who is “always there.”

“Growing up in Laurel Canyon with a single father in the ’70s and ’80s is not a recipe for a grounded childhood, but somehow my childhood was that way. Whenever someone asks me how I was able to be so normal, I always say it was because of my father,” she continued of their bond. “I knew my father loved me, I knew it deep in my heart.”

Her father always supported her, as they “basically grew up together” due to their 20-year age difference.

“I have a thousand stories and memories galore, so if you ever meet me, ask me about my father, Bobby Carradine, who made me who I am. Rest assured, Dad. I love you the most,” the 51-year-old star concluded.

Ever featured a merry-go-round of old photos of her and Robert, along with a touching caption.

The “Revenge of the Nerds” actor is also father to 35-year-old Malika and 33-year-old Ian with ex-wife Edith Mani.

The couple divorced in 2018, a year after Edith accused Robert of trying to kill him in a horrific 2015 car crash.

On February 23, Robert’s brother Keith Carradine told Deadline that Robert had been battling bipolar disorder before his death.

“In a world that can feel so dark, Bobby was always a beacon of light for those around him. We are saddened by the loss of this beautiful soul and would like to pay tribute to Bobby’s courageous fight against bipolar disorder for nearly 20 years,” Robert’s family said in a statement to the media.

“We hope his journey shines a light and inspires us to address the stigma that plagues mental illness. At this time, we ask for privacy as we grieve this immense loss. Thank you for your understanding and compassion,” they said.

Robert’s relatives wanted the world to know that there was “no shame” in his illness.

Robert was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder after his brother David Carradine died of suffocation in June 2009.
