Eva Mendes couldn’t help but praise “my man” Ryan Gosling, who surprised her with a sweet birthday serenade on Thursday night.
“A big thank you to @jimmyfallon and the @nbhs_bruins marching band,” Mendes wrote on Instagram on Saturday, March 7, alongside a behind-the-scenes photo of the actress and Gosling from “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
“What a beautiful memory. Special thanks to all the educators in the audience. We need you now more than ever.”
“Finally, my husband…I take you back on this matter,” she wrote to her longtime partner.
Mendes and Gosling made headlines on Friday after the Hail Mary star, 45, surprised Mendes by bringing her on stage during an interview.
The couple appeared on TV together for the first time in more than a decade, as the “Other Guys” star watched his interview from backstage until he was escorted out by staff.
The “Training Day” actress stepped out wearing a striped cardigan that Gosling wore on “Jeopardy!” Last month it was wide-leg jeans and John Lennon and Yoko Ono shirts.
As an official surprise, Mendes performed a cheerful rendition of “Happy Birthday” with a marching band, and the audience sang along as confetti fell.
Before the birthday surprise, Gosling joked to the crowd, “Here’s the thing: You might find me in the Hudson River tomorrow.”
Mendes and Gosling began dating in 2012 after meeting on the set of the movie “The Place Beyond the Pines.”
The co-stars have since had two children together, daughter Esmeralda (11 years old) and daughter Amada (9 years old).
Mendes has since stepped away from acting to raise his children.
