‘Euphoria’ stars Zendaya and Jacob Elordi attend season 3 premiere

The Emmy buzz is already building momentum for season 3 of Euphoria, with the HBO show’s all-star cast set to appear at the premiere in Hollywood on Tuesday night.

Series regulars Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sidney Sweeney, Hunter Schaefer, Alexa Demme, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, and Chloe Cherry are also confirmed to be in attendance, as well as Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and executive producer Drake. Elordi and Schaefer were not listed on the event’s initial media information sheet, but an HBO representative eventually confirmed they would attend.

Walking the red carpet will be series newcomers Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Marshawn Lynch, Daniel Deadwyler, Burrell Britt-Gibson, Eli Roth, Anna Van Patten, Priscilla Delgado, Madison Thompson, Sam Trammell, Asante Black, Trisha Paytas, James Lunn, Colleen Camp, and Homer Geer.

Colman Domingo, who won the 2022 Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor for his role as Lou’s Narcotics Anonymous sponsor Ali Muhammad, won’t be attending the premiere, but with good reason: He’s in New York City preparing to host “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.

The guest list also includes Al Pacino, Alana Haim, Danielle Haim, Georgia May Jagger, Grace Van Patten, Jason Reitman and Jennifer Morrison. Stars of Levinson’s series “The Idol” also include Lily-Rose Depp, Rachel Sennott and Da’Vyn Joy Randolph.

Zendaya, who won two Emmy Awards for her role as recovering drug addict Rue on Euphoria, said during an appearance on Monday’s The Drew Barrymore Show that season 3 will likely be her last. When Barrymore asked if it was the final season, she replied, “I think so.”

As previously reported, the new season will jump five years into the future, with Cassie (Sweeney) and Nate (Elordi) getting married and living in the suburbs, and Lou paying off her debt to drug dealer Laurie (Kelly). Levinson also revealed that Jules (Schaefer) is attending art school and Maddie (Demi) works at a talent agency in Hollywood.

Last month, Zendaya told me that filming Season 3 was “a whirlwind.” “I accomplished in like four months what I would have done in eight months,” she said at the premiere of “The Drama” in Los Angeles. “It was like trying to record eight episodes at once. It flew by.”

Elordi previewed the new season in October. “It was incredible,” he told me at the Academy Museum Gala. “It was incredibly liberating. I got to play something that was so different from anything I’d ever done before.”

He also said that Levinson “has built something incredibly smart and cinematic. I think people will really like it.”

“Euphoria” Season 3 will premiere on HBO on April 12th at 9pm ET/PT.
