Veteran media executive Eric Logan has assumed the top role at Robins Research International, the 121-company corporation owned by thought leader Tony Robbins.
Logan, the former president of Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network, will join the Robbins business as chief executive officer and principal advisor. He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term strategic direction of Robins’ flagship education company and ancillary businesses.
Robbins made a splash as a motivational speaker in the mid-’90s, applying his programs to transformational programs, immersive experiences, and executive education. Logan’s appointment comes with renewed calls for scale.
“Good leadership isn’t about doing more, it’s about creating clarity, alignment, and momentum at scale,” Robbins said of Logan. “Eric brings lived experience, insight and the ability to execute so we can expand our impact, strengthen our foundation and impact even more people.”
Robbins also said that Logan “will help us unlock greater value in everything we’re building, including our partnership with Paramount+ and the Tony Robbins Network. His experience working with Oprah Winfrey during her growth years as president of Harpo Productions and the Oprah Winfrey Network brings valuable insight to this new venture.”
Sage Robbins, Tony’s wife, speaker and mentor, added that Logan’s “experience and perspective uniquely positions him for the direction the company is headed. This step feels thoughtful, intentional, and completely in the service of our mission.”
Logan most recently served as CEO of the World Surf League, where he helped the operation expand its global media footprint through content. Prior to his time at WSL, Harpo Productions and OWN, he was Vice President of Content and Broadcast Operations at XM Satellite Radio. Logan most recently replaced Scott Borchetta as Managing Partner of the business portfolio based in Nashville, Tennessee, where he focused on strategic growth, operational leadership, and value creation across multiple ventures.
Logan said Robbins and the team have “built one of the world’s most influential platforms for leadership and personal transformation. Stepping into this role is both an honor and a responsibility. My focus is on strengthening our foundation with the hundreds of dedicated employees who power this organization.”
