Eric Dane was spotted on a rare family outing with wife Rebecca Gayheart and daughter Georgia as he continues to battle ALS.
The “Countdown” actor was photographed in a wheelchair with the model and his youngest daughter, 13, as the trio headed to popular West Hollywood spot Sushi Park on Thursday.
He was wearing a casual black T-shirt and beige pants and appeared to be in good spirits, while Gayheart was wearing black leather pants and what appeared to be a white tunic. At one point he wore a black puffer coat.
Daughter Georgia also wore a black T-shirt to match her father’s style.
The sighting comes nearly a month after the “Grey’s Anatomy” alum, 52, revealed he was absent from the show’s grand reunion at the Emmy Awards after suffering a fall that left him hospitalized.
“ALS is a tricky disease,” he told The Washington Post in October, referring to his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
“So I ended up in the hospital getting stitches in my head during the Emmy Awards ceremony,” he revealed, adding that he was “really upset” about missing out on the milestone moment.
The actor explained, “There was nothing I could do about it.”
The father of two publicly shared his diagnosis in April. “I’m grateful to have my loving family by my side as I navigate this next chapter,” he told People magazine at the time.
Gayheart, who married the actor in 2004 and has a 15-year-old daughter, Billie, spoke in a recent interview about how her debilitating illness has affected her teenage daughters.
“I mean, it’s heartbreaking,” the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum told People magazine at a September event. “The girls are really struggling. We’re just trying to get through it. It’s a tough time.”
With their father facing a progressive neurodegenerative disease, Billy and Georgia are “enduring it day by day,” she added.
“We have professional therapists who are helping us. We’re just trying to have hope and do it with dignity and grace and love,” Gayheart continued.
Although the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum has yet to see “any hint of positivity” in her family’s plight, she said they have grown closer as a family.
“So we’re definitely dealing with something that unites us all. Whether we’re married or not, whether we live in the same house or not, Eric will always be my family,” she explained, adding that ALS is a “terrible disease.”
The “Urban Legend” actress revealed her relationship with Eric in April. Eric was previously spotted dating Janelle Shirtcliff in the months following his diagnosis.
“We’re best friends. We’re really close. We’re great co-parents,” she told E! News at the time.
Gayheart and Eric ended their seven-year divorce in March, just before Eric announced his diagnosis.
The “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” actress originally filed for divorce from the “Euphoria” star in February 2018, citing irreconcilable differences.
