Hulk Hogan’s ex-wife, Linda Hogan, has spoken about the late wrestling star being snuggled by the Memoam Segment’s Emmies, and she says she believes it is due to his support of President Donald Trump.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Linda Hogan, who was married to Hulk Hogan from 1983 to 2009, informed her suspicions by citing Hulk’s speech and appearances at the Trump campaign events leading up to the 2024 election.
“I can’t prove that,” Linda Hogan told EW. “That’s just a guess, but they should have given him a name!”
Representatives from the TV Academy did not immediately respond to Variety’s request for comment.
In addition to his on-screen work as one of the biggest stars of the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE), Hogan was also an actor. He has appeared in films such as “Rocky III” (1982) and “No Holds Barred” (1989), and has appeared in television projects such as “Thunder in Paradise” (1994), his reality show “Hogan Knows Best” (2005-2007), and the animated series “China, IL” (2011-2015). He died on July 24th at the age of 71 after suffering from cardiac arrest.
“(Hulk) has received the highest ratings on NBC and has beaten all the other competitions for that time slot!” Linda Hogan said of his time at WWF.
“I can’t really tell you why they left him,” Linda Hogan continued, adding that her political theory is “just a guess given the way he was treated in his final appearance in LA.”
Hulk Hogan wasn’t just a notable omission from the Emmies in this year’s Memoam segment. They also left “Alice” star Polly Holiday, “What’s going on” star Daniel Spencer, Graham Greene, Tony Todd and “General Hospital” star Leslie Charlson. Also missing from the segment were “King of the Hill” actor Jonathan Jos, “Pee Wee’s Playhouse,” “Sopranos” actor Jerry Adler, and “Dennis The Menace” herself of Jaynorth’s Lynn Marie Stewart.
