In a new interview with Hollywood Artintic, Emma Watson said she is “the happiest and healthiest ever” as her acting is approaching the seven-year mark. Watson hasn’t played since December 2018 when he enveloped production with Greta Gerwig’s “Little Women.” The Harry Potter star said “has the weight of a public persona.” That’s why she doesn’t seem to rush back to Hollywood.
“The bigger component than the actual work itself is the promotion and sales of that piece. That balance can be thrown away quite a bit,” Watson said. “I’m honest and straight, and say: I never miss out on selling things. I’ve found it to be a very soul-inspired thing. But I’m very missed out on using my skill set.
Watson continued. “The moment I got on the movie set, it wasn’t that long for rehearsals. But the moment I walked through the scene – or I prepared and thought up a way I wanted to do something. And then the camera rolled over and completely forgot about everything else in the world outside that moment. The pressure. And it wasn’t even a real public audience or anything.”
Watson will forever be linked to her role as Hermione Granger in Warner Bros. With eight “Harry Potter” films, she continued to gain strong reviews of non-Potter film shoots such as “Noah,” “The Bringing Ring,” “The Benefits of Being a Wallflower,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Little Women.” The latter two titles are box office hits, with the former weighing over $1 billion worldwide.

I worked so hard for a long time, so my life went down.” “The bottom fell from the work that was actually me and my life. So I had to go and do construction work. There’s a good foundation for growing from something else, because if you don’t have it, there’s a panic like moving from one kind of project to the next.
In a 2023 interview, Watson admitted that she was “not very happy” and “feeling a bit of a cage” in her acting profession. Aside from appearing in the 2022 TV specials “Pickled” and “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts,” Watson’s final acting credit is 2019’s “Little Women.”
