Emma Stone once braved “freezing” cold weather to catch a glimpse of Jen Shah, who was sentenced for fraud.
In an interview for W Magazine’s Best Performances 2026 issue, the “Cruella” star revealed that she is a “superfan” of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” on which Shah starred for three seasons.
“I’m really invested,” Stone told the outlet. “When Jen Shah was being sentenced in New York, my brother (Spencer Stone) and I waited outside in the freezing cold for two hours for a chance to see her.”
The two-time Academy Award winner, 37, said she “walked there” with her brother since she lives in New York.
“It was wild for her to be arrested in front of the cameras,” she said.
Stone also revealed that he’s a fan of RHOSLC star Bronwyn Newport, who wore a life raft swinging around her waist during a cast boat trip.
“I’ve never seen anyone dressed like this in real life. This is phenomenal,” the actress told W Magazine, adding, “The whole thing is kind of a costume. I love it.”
In 2022, Shah, 52, pleaded guilty to defrauding thousands of people, including the elderly and vulnerable, through a nationwide telemarketing scheme.
In January of the following year, the former Bravolebrities were sentenced to six and a half years in prison for the crime. She reported to prison in February 2023.
After her sentence was commuted multiple times, the mother of two was released in December 2025 after serving three years at a federal prison in Bryan, Texas.
TMZ reports that the former reality star will be subject to five years of supervision after her release, including drug and alcohol testing, and will be required to attend an outpatient mental health program and take prescription medication.
Footage captured by ABC’s Nightline showed the emotional moment when Shah was reunited with her husband, Sharif Shah, and their two sons, Sharif Jr., 31, and Omar, 21.
The family of four then flew to Utah, where Jen was greeted with flowers and hugs from loved ones at the Salt Lake City International Airport.
