Kaiser’s son Trigg died in May after a drowning incident in her and husband Brady’s backyard pool.
Emily Kizer is sharing more about her “grief journey” five months after her 3-year-old son Trig died in May.
In a post to her Instagram Story on Oct. 7, the Arizona-based content creator shared that she was headed to a therapy appointment and “had a random urge to thank all the medical professionals.”
“Your power to help others every day is what makes me emotional, especially now thinking about our/my grief journey and what I’m talking about with a therapist,” Kaiser wrote. “You guys are amazing.”

The post comes less than three weeks after the influencer returned to social media after a hiatus following the death of her son and a series of legal battles over the publication of information related to the incident.
In May, Trigg died after a drowning incident in Kiser and her husband Brady’s backyard pool. That month, Emily filed a lawsuit to keep records regarding her son’s death public, and the Arizona Superior Court for Maricopa County ruled in the influencer’s favor in another motion she filed to keep her personal declaration private.
In her petition, which was later made public in August, Emily said that helicopters were circling her home and that she and her husband were “deeply concerned about the release of certain information and the ability to begin healing.”

In August, the Arizona Superior Court of Maricopa County ruled in favor of Emily’s filing to remove two pages of a CPD police report containing a recommendation that Brady be charged with a Class 4 felony of child abuse after the Maricopa County Attorney General’s Office announced there was “no likelihood of conviction” against Blasey.
Brady, who was the only parent home at the time of his drowning, initially said he lost track of Trigg for three to five minutes before finding him in the pool, but later cited video evidence that Trigg was “in the unsupervised backyard for over nine minutes, underwater for about seven minutes.”
After an extended hiatus, Emily returned to social media on August 28 with her first public statement since her son’s death. “I was trying to find days, weeks, months (the right word).

She followed up on her statement on September 20, sharing a home “reset” video (the type of content she’s most known for online) and candidly admitted that she was “really nervous” to start posting online again.
“I know it sounds silly to many, but I truly love this community we have here. I hope that by coming back and sharing a little bit of what I choose, I can reconnect with you guys and help others going through similar situations,” she said in the post.
In a follow-up post a few days later, Emily thanked her followers for their kind words as she navigated her return.
“I have been truly blown away by the love, comfort and support,” she wrote. “We are grateful that so many of you are sharing your similar experiences and your own stories of how you have coped with grief and loss.”
